Turning things around for Timeout Boxing
When Robbie from Timeout Boxing, based in Hornchurch, Essex, first got in touch with us at Evry Creative, he was clearly frustrated. His old WordPress site was clunky, outdated, and worst of all, impossible for him to update. The relationship with his previous developer had broken down, leaving him stuck with a website that didn’t do justice to his brand or portray his club’s goals.
Robbie needed a website that made his business clear, with a bold, simple design, easy navigation, and strong calls to action that encouraged visitors to book classes. He also wanted imagery that captured the positive, empowering side of boxing - nothing too aggressive or intimidating.
Luckily, Robbie already had a strong brand identity, with a colour palette of greens and dark greys that gave us a great starting point. Our focus was on creating a clean, user friendly experience that reflected Timeout Boxing’s values. Once the designs were finalised, Tom - our lead developer at mohunky - took over to build a solid, custom backend that would make site management a breeze.
The new site is clear, engaging, and fully responsive, so it looks great on any device. Visitors can now easily explore the services and get in touch with Robbie to book a class. Even better, with a custom built content management system, Robbie no longer has to rely on a developer for updates… within just 30 minutes of onboarding, he was confidently making changes on his own!
Since launch, Robbie has already been in touch about the next phase: adding an online payment system to make booking classes even smoother. And because the site is built on Umbraco, there’s no reliance on off the shelf themes or plugins, meaning fewer maintenance headaches and lower overall running costs - just £36+ per month for hosting.
By combining modern web design, SEO best practices, and a fully optimised build, Timeout Boxing now has a digital presence that’s built to grow.
